Zenitco Sport-12 Kit AK-12

«Sport-12» kit is designed for rifles based on AK-12. 

«Sport-12» kit has six Basis rails, that allow installation of additional equipment (hand stoppers, slingmounts, switches, wire holders, rail covers, grips, additional Picatinny rails) compatible with Basis directly on handguard. For installation of Picatinny compatible equipment it is possible to install additional Picatinny rails (sold separately) B-2 (45 mm.), B-2U (75 mm.), B-2L (34 mm.), B-2M (15 mm) side Picatinny rails in any place on Basis rail.  

All products of the kit are all-milled with a coating of black or desert color.

For installation of «Sport-12» kit on the rifle, do the following:
1. Take off regular handguard and gas tube cover.
2. Install «Sport-12» lower handguard instead of regular handguard:
2.1. Place the rear part of the handguard inside the receiver;
2.2. Place a bayonet lug inside a groove in the inside part of the handguard. Slide the regular slingmount on side, so it does not interfere;
2.3. Put a spacer on the top part of the handguard, hammer the handguard through the spacer into the receiver. The bayonet lug should slide inside the groove inside the handguard. It is prohibited to file the handguard;
2.4. Unscrew a screw on the hinge, hammer the longer part into a hinge opening on the receiver. Screw back the smaller part;
3. Install «Sport-12» upper handguard, screw in 4 screws in places of connection of upper and lower handguards;
4. Fix the dust cover fixation lever.

The rigidity of handguard and the rails from the kit determine the rigidity of aiminп devices, which affects the accuracy of a shot.
