Please note that this is a "Type A" Handguard. The piece that goes inside the receiver is 11.5mm hight.

Some of the Vepr Rifles and Shotguns come with type A mount (11.5mm), and some with type B (7mm), and the only way to figure out which one you have is to take it off.

However, Type A can be installed onto the Type B rifle by dremelling the top piece off.
