The CX4 Carbine in .45 ACP is a great little carbine, badly handicapped by 8-round mags. Our CNC'ed aluminum floorplates bring that total capacity out to 10+1, and make the magazine easier to seat/remove. Best of all, it uses the stock magazine spring! Since the base of the CX4 magazine fits nearly flush against the back of the magazine well, it's likely that our Fort Knox retainer will hit the back of the magazine well and drag against it.

This doesn't happen on all Storms, but it's common. Odds are you will need to thin out the retaining plate to fit your specific carbine, or trim back the magazine well insert on your Storm. Retainer Improved to Better Fit CX4 -- Again Building (again) on our success with the HKP30, we've incorporated the same sort of thin, strong steel into the CX4 locking plate. The result does away with the need to "hollow grind" the locking plate, and massively improves the locking plate's strength.

NEW! PX4 Cougar Compatibility Cuts Thanks to a request from Beretta fan Stephen Yvlisaker, we flattened the top of the "wave" on the side of our Storm extension, making it compatible with the PX4 pistol. (The PX4 and CX4 use the same magazines.) The PX4 has an even-tighter magazine well than the Storm carbine, which may require some additional fitting. Problem Dents In Beretta Mags After the CX4 was released, Beretta added two "dents" to the bottom of the CX4 magazine. These annoying, politically correct dents may restrict your magazine capacity to 9+1 with our floorplate attached. We're currently getting 10+1 on our sample mags (despite the dents), but as they say in the car commercials, your mileage may vary. Some shooters grind out the dents, making the magazine easier to load to 10+1.

Due to U.S. State Department restrictions, we cannot ship this part internationally.
