The narrow internal diameter coupled with extensive cooling cuts further reduce unnecessary bulk, while also increasing the strength of the 7075-T6 aluminum body over larger handguards.

Unlike most other free float handguards, the SLR SOLO does not require a proprietary wrench for installation, though the SLR Billet Wrench can be used if desired.
