This carrier fills the space of a M16 carrier profile and the heavier weight of the M16 profile helps to prevent bolt bounce during rapid fire. The modified gas hole improves gas flow across the bolt's tail and incorporates a longer dwell time allowing barrel pressure to be greatly reduced and promoting easier extraction.
