CSS Catamount 12 Basic Reliability Kit

Catamount 12's out of the box will normally shoot Buck Shot, Slugs and High Brass Bird Shot, but sometimes not all Low Brass ammo.

This kit will help you run all 2 3/4" ammo from Slugs/Buck Shot to the low brass Walmart "100rd Value Pack" Remington and Federal birdshot.
We recommend you do not use a 1 oz birdshot load or Winchester "Universal" ammo if you are having cycling issues.

The Kit includes
2- CSS FULL Power Recoil Spring, replaces both factory recoil springs
1- CSS Peformance Recoil Spring designed for most target loads
1- JTE Guiderod which will improve the recycling action of your Catamount

The combination of these 3 parts will help your gas system run ALL 2 3/4" shells unless you have improperly drilled gas ports.

Installation Instructions
1. Make sure firearm is unloaded.
2. Remove top cover from the firearm and pull out the recoil spring assembly.
3. Remove the springs and dustcover from the guiderod
4. Using a heavy set punch, remove the pin holding the guiderod to the guiderod holder
5. Install the JTE Guiderod by driving in the pin (minor fitment required - boring out the guiderod holder)
6. Install a Full Power Spring in the Rear and either a Full Power Spring (for heavy loads) or a Performance Sping (for Target loads) in the front.

All parts are US made.

Works on only on CATAMOUNT 12 shotguns.
